After almost a whole school year, Middle 12 has a whole new look and a new address! Our beautiful new building is located on 50th Street, making our new address 131 E. 50th St., LA 90011.

 

The seniors and their teachers have been patiently waiting and working on their academics a few blocks away at our Academy site. On May 16, the campus was reunited with a festive homecoming and a new "senior quad."

 

Highlights of our new campus include a driveway that stretches a whole block (from 49th to 50th Street) that allows students to be safely dropped off and picked up inside the campus instead of on a busy city street. Our colorful and modern new building houses an administration office, conference room, and classrooms. One of the greatest additions has been the ARC (Academic Resource Center), which houses our counseling office and parent center!

 

The students' lunch area has been enhanced with beautiful planters and drought-tolerant plants. There is finally parking for the teachers and staff, and an outdoor hard-scape area has been added to the east side of the campus for recreation or academic use. 

 

The exterior of the building boasts modern design and colorful accents, making Middle 12 stand out among its Main Street neighbors. Plantings along the street and fresh, new sidewalks are a boon for the surrounding community.

 

The new campus will "officially" open when school begins in August 2016, but the campus reunification was a happy one on our "First Day of School" in May. More changes are coming to the campus soon with upgrades to the original part of the school campus and a colorful accent to the Mustang gym.
